Once you have been admitted, you make your application via www.nais.uhr.se. When Disability Support Services receives your application via NAIS, they will contact you to set up an individual meeting.

You can find out more about learning support at: www.lunduniversity.lu.se/students-disabilities.

Arrival Day & Orientation Weeks

Starting a new programme in a new city or country is an exciting experience, but there is a lot to think about in your first days here at Lund University. The University arranges a number of both practically helpful and also fun activities for you, whether you're starting a new program or are here on exchange. We highly recommend that you take part in the Arrival Day and the following Orientation Weeks - it will be worth it!

Get your LU card

When you start studying at the Department, you need an LU card, which serves as an access card and library card.

Deferment - postponing your studies

Have you been admitted but cannot start your studies? Use the e-service to apply for deferment (new tab).

If you have special reasons, you can apply to postpone your studies by applying for deferment. It is important that you accept your place on antagning.se or www.universityadmissions.se and that you keep your place before applying for deferment.
If you have declined your place, the application for deferment cannot be granted. Deferrals are granted until the next time the programme starts.

You will need to provide evidence to support your special reasons for being granted a deferment.

Special reasons can be social, medical or other special circumstances. Other special circumstances may include, for example:
- Caring for children (parental leave, pregnancy, medical situation of children)
- Student union assignment

UHRFS 2016:1 Regulations on deferment of studies for admitted students and study leave

To claim your place, you must apply in time and upload a decision on deferment.

Are you already a student?
